Il container non vede te: vede nginx di arx, che arriva dalla rete di Docker. Il tuo IP glielo passa arx nell'header X-Real-IP.

The container does not see you: it sees arx's nginx, coming from the Docker network. arx passes your IP along in the X-Real-IP header.

Ha creato un gruppo upstream con i tre backend e il metodo round robin: uno a testa, in ordine.
Tiene aperte le connessioni verso i backend e le riusa (keepalive), invece di aprirne una nuova a ogni richiesta.
Se un backend non risponde, nginx passa la richiesta al successivo e lo lascia fuori per 10 secondi. Tu non vedi nessun errore.
I container ascoltano solo su 127.0.0.1: da internet si arriva a loro solo passando da arx.

Created an upstream group with the three backends and the round robin method: one each, in order.
Keeps connections to the backends open and reuses them (keepalive) instead of opening a new one for every request.
If a backend does not answer, nginx passes the request to the next one and leaves it out for 10 seconds. You see no error.
The containers listen on 127.0.0.1 only: from the internet you reach them only through arx.
